Colorado blue columbine, Aquilegia coerulea

My sister made this request. She was there when I got it. We were stopped by a flagman in the San Juans. I popped out of the van and started clicking. She seemed kind of slumped down. Pretending not to be with me? Probably happened a lot. Praying to survive the drive? Probably happened even more. In any case, we both have good memories of all of these we've seen over the years. This is the state flower of Colorado. It particularly likes mountain meadows near aspens in AZ, CO, ID, MT, NM, NV, SC, UT, and WY. Ouray Co CO, 6/22/13
