Queen-Anne's-lace, Daucus carota

Try as I might, I can't come up with ways to make all those flat-topped white flowers in the carrot family look different. But with Queen-Anne's-lace, it seems the plant gets bored too. Every once in a while, it shows us some pink flowers. If you watch for one of these along the roadside, you'll see an awful lot of white flowers. In thirty years of looking at flowers in Lenawee County, I've seen this twice. Queen-Anne's-lace now grows in every state except AK and HI, and in BC, LB, MB, NB, NF, NS, ON, PE, QC, SK, and on SPM.
