wild basil, Clinopodium vulgare

I have forsworn alien plants for the moment. That's one reason for today's choice. Then I checked Wikipedia to see what they had to say, I learned that this is a plant of Europe, western and central Asia and North Africa. No mention of us. This seemed weird? Farther research reveals they are wrong. This is a circumpolar species. It is native in all those places, and in North America. If I am a responsible reader, I should send them a correction. But having tried to do that once before, I will just move along. As the irresponsible say, life is too short. Wild basil grows in AR, AZ, CO, CT, DE, IA, IL, IN, KS, KY, MA, MD, ME, MI, MN, MT, NC, NH, NJ, NM, NY, OH, OR, PA, RI, TN, UT, WA, WI, WV, BC, NB, NF, NS, ON, QC, and SPM.
