The flowers of spotted St. John's-wort are about 5/8 inch across. The trick is to find them like that. In my experience, this plant is a little careless about its appearance. I've gotten too many images of this that I was not satisfied with. It seemed like the flowers were always too beat up, too old, too small, or too anything that kept them from being a satisfactory image. And it always seemed like they were too occasional and scattered to provide many opportunities for shots. Then there was this one. Finally!
