Apache plume, Fallugia paradoxa

Apache plume is a beautiful shrub of the arid southwest. The flowers are up to two inches across. It is often used as an ornamental in that area. That probably accounts for my seeing it in June in northeastern Colorado. The seed probably blew there from someone's garden. The natural northeastern distribution of Apache plume reaches southern Colorado. By the time we reached Durango a week later, they were entirely in seed. Apache plume grows in AZ, CA, CO, NM, NV, OK, TX, and UT. Sedgwick Co CO, 6/16/13.
