creeping bellflower, Campanula rapunculoides

Creeping bellflower too has crept across the continent, into and out of our gardens. This one defies the chemicals. Spray it with roundup and it dies. Not. The above ground parts go away for the moment, but the tubers always sprout anew. Best admire its dogged persistence and its flowers and live with it. Except in Calgary, the one place it is officially listed as invasive. Creeping bellflower occurs in every state except AL, AR, AZ, CA, FL, GA, LA, MS, SC, and all provinces except LB, NT, NU, and YK.
