pale blue-eyed grass, Sisyrinchium albidum

Or should it be pale-blue eyed-grass? The subtle color helps identify this species. And they're not blue-eyed, but rather yellow-eyed? But why quibble. These little beauties are always nice to see. The flowers are about 2/3 inch across, little like their iris relatives. This one grows in meadows in AL, AR, CT, DE, FL, GA, IL, IN, KY, LA, ME, MI, MO, MS, NC, OH, OK, PA(X), SC, TN, TX, VA, WV, and ON. Lenawee Co MI, 5/16/11.
