rosepink, Sabatia angularis
Wherever one goes, there is amazing beauty. This rosepink was on a hillside in open woods in southern Ohio. And wherever one goes you often see evidence of invasive removal. Work here had clearly been done to remove invasive shrubs, probably honeysuckle. It looked like the rosepinks applauded their effort. These inch-wide flowers grow on stems a couple of feet tall, often with many blooms on a stem. They're in AL, AR, CT, DE, FL, GA, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, MA, MD, MI(T), MO, MS, NC, NJ, NM, NY(E), OH, OK, PA, SC, TN, TX, VA, WI, WV, and ON. Hamilton Co OH, 7/14/15.
