woodland stonecrop, Sedum ternatum

Woodland stonecrop is native in forests in the east. Unlike most stonecrops, it has four rather than five petals. Yellow flowered Eurasians are common rock garden plants. This one, with its need for shade, is less often cultivated. Woodland stonecrop grows in AL, AR, CT, DE, GA, IL, IN, KY, MA, MD, ME, MI, MO, MS, NC, NJ, NY, OH, PA, RI, SC, TN, VA, VT, WV, and ON.
