garden forget-me-not, Myosotis sylvatica

Alaska's state wildflower is forget-me-not, Myosotis asiatica, which was called M. alpestris back in 1917 when that vote was taken. Having no images of that species, we will make do with garden forget-me-not. These are slightly larger and more colonial than Alaska's favorite. But the flowers are virtually identical. Garden forget-me-not has been recorded wild in CA, ID, IL, MA, ME, MI, MN, NC, NE, NH, NJ, NY, OH, OR, PA, RI, SD, VT, WA, WI, WY, AB, BC, NB, LB, NB, NF, NS, ON, and QC. Wilderness State Park, Emmet Co MI, 6/1/11.
