daisy, Leucanthemum vulgare

Yesterday's rayless fleabane reminded some of daisies from their first childhoods. "She loves me, he loves me not" The childhood chant is almost as familiar as the flower. And the flower's pretty familiar, starting in Europe and now known to just about everyone. This image is one of my favorite examples of the spirals produced by Fibonacci's math. Often called ox-eye daisy, these grow in every state and province, on SPM, and are adventive around the globe. Lenawee Coi MI, 6/5/11.
