Yellowwood is a small tree that has become a popular ornamental. They cover themselves with drooping racemes of fragrant white flowers. Up close they share a touch of color and aroma. Yellowood is a rare native occurring in isolated colonies in AL, AR, GA, IL(E), IN(T), KY, MO, MS, NC, OK, TN, and VA, and escaped from cultivation in CT, IA, MA, ME, NY, OH, PA, RI, and ON.
