grannybush, Euphorbiaceae, Croton cascarilla

Granny is a short - maybe a meter tall - bush in the spurge family. Judging by the name, one would think there'd be some interesting lore. But when Googled, you get a bunch of stuff about Granny Bush. Amazing how many Bush family Grannies there are on the net. So a kind of nondescript plant that might have been interesting only turns out to have only been fun in a kind of screwed up backwards way. Granny is native to southern FL and TX, and probably south from there. Everglades National Park, MiamiDade Co FL, 3/20/16.
