These days not all searches are done with animal eyes. When this eyes in names series started, a web search occurred. This was one of the replies. Do you see the eye? Yellow iris is an Eurasian and north African species that likes wetlands and gardens. Here it has now been reported from AL, AR, CA, CT, DE, FL, GA, ID, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, MA, MD, ME, MI, MN, MO, MS, NC, NE, NH, NJ, NV, NY, OH, OR, PA, RI, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, VT, WA, WI, WV, BC, MB, NB, NF, NS, ON, PE, and QC.
