slender blazingstar, Liatris gracilis

Going south in October, it can be like a blazingstar tour. In south Georgia and north Florida, there are more of these tall pink spikes around every curve. If you're like me, don't get too carried away, just speeding from one patch to the next. You might end up four years later, still scratching your head and going through identification keys. Make sure you get enough images of all the key parts of each one, or you may never be able to post a picture with confidence. So, is this a slender blazingstar? Probably. Maybe? Well, I think I maybe probably think so? If so, they grow in AL, FL, GA, MS, and SC. Taylor Co FL, 10/20/19.
