white vervain, Verbena urticifolia

These little flowers don't do much to attract wildflower hunters. One suspects this may be one of the least sought out species. Of course, pollinators function on a very different scale. Eighth inch flowers are no problem for the many that are attracted to this vervain. It is a very successful plant, growing in AL, AR, CT, DE, FL, GA, IA, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, MA, MD, ME(X), MI, MN, MO, MS, NC, ND, NE, NH, NJ, NY, OH, OK, PA, RI, SC, SD, TN, TX, VA, VT, WI, WV, MB, NB, ON, QC, and SK(E).
