false buckwheat, Fallopia scandens

Sooner or later, this had to happen. A plant that even I can find no reason to recommend it. The flowers are really unremarkable. It's kind of a weedy weak little vine. But as a weed, it can't even make its way onto USDA or state weed lists.
A false buckwheat popped up among my flowers this season, and it got pulled. A search of books and the net has turned up no lore whatsoever. Those winged fruit are of more interest than the flower (uppermost center). The fruit are about a quarter inch, so that's a pretty small flower. False buckwheat is inconspicuously successful in every state except AK, AZ, CA, CO, MT, NM, NV, OR, UT, WA, and it's in AB, MB, NB, NS, ON, PE, QC, and SK(T). Lenawee Co MI, 8/12/11. There, it's done!
