little sweet Betsy, Trillium cuneatum

Little sweet Betsy may be the largest among the trilliums that lack a stem between leaves and the flower. Betsy has become a shade garden species. You might see her dressed in red, maroon, yellow, green, or shades between like this one. Betsy grows in woodlands in AL, GA, IL, KY, MD, MI, MS, NC, PA, SC, TN, and VA.
