Cream avens is a rather unremarkable species. Other than descriptions, there's not much said about it. These flowers are only a quarter inch across. The off-white/pale yellow petals seem well designed to make it less noticeable than its white and yellow flowered relatives. But it's fun to see because it's a rarity in Michigan. It grows mostly in dry sites in shade in AL, AR, CT, DE, GA, IL, IN, KY, MA, MD, MI(SC), MN, MO, NC, NJ, NY(E), OH, PA, RI, SC, TN, VA, VT, WI, WV, and ON.
