King's crown, western roseroot, or ledge stonecrop? Take your pick. And pick it the Eskimo do. It's eaten green, cooked, or it's preserved for later. Subspecies leedyi grows only in MN and NY and is federally threatened. Except for the disjunct eastern plants, king's crown grows in alpine and boreal areas in AK, CA, CO, ID, NM, NV, OR, UT, WA, WY, AB, BC, NT, and YT; northeastern Asia. San Juan Co CO, 6/22/13.
