titi, Cyrilla racemiflora

You will notice this is not a closeup. It was in fact taken with a long lens, at full extension. Titi was growing on the other side of a water-filled ditch. What is it about Florida swamps that I don't wade right in, like I would in Michigan. I would like to think it's because of the difficulty of the rest of the day, all covered with who knows what. And who knows how deep it might be?Hopefully it's not because I watched Humphrey Bogart climb out of a similar looking spot in the African Queen. First time I learned about leeches! And this ramble is mostly because I can't find much info about titi. And it was a long shot to get this image. Titi is a shrub or small tree of wetlands in AL, DE, FL, GA, LA, MS, NC, SC, TX, VT, and south from there. Wakulla Co FL, 7/8/18.
