mouse-ear chickweed, Cerastium fontanum
See all those fuzzy little mouse ears? Imagine systematically poisoning them! Of course that's what most of us do to keep our lawns pristine. Otherwise these will root wherever their stems touch the ground, and the next thing you know they've multiplied like rabbits! These dainty little quarter-inch flowers from Eurasia now occur in any dry open area they can find in every state and province, and on GL and SPM. Lenawee Co MI, 4/7/12.
