Hundreds of miles from home and finally starting to see some new plants. But the wind is picking up, clouds are gathering, and it will be raining any moment. Is that why I hurried this shot, and didn't see the bug? I only became aware of the ambush bug yesterday, when I considered this image for today. Hoary mountain mint grows in AL, CT, DE, FL, GA, IL, IN, KY, MA, MD, MI, MS, NC, NH(E), NJ, NY, OH, PA, RI, SC, TN, VA, VT(E), WV, and ON(E). Polk Co TN, 7/6/18. Mint family, Lamiaceae.
