crowpoison, Nothoscordum bivalve

Success! Put on almost 600 miles yesterday, but found it! Food for the falcate orangetip butterflies! That bit of info is just about crowpoison's whole claim to fame. Of course it is a very attractive flower in open places, even lawns and roadsides. Yesterday was another trip to find some different stuff in south Ohio. Crowpoison (what an unfortunate name) grows in AL, AR, FL, GA, IL, IN(R), KS, KY, LA, MO, MS, NC, NE, OH(T), OK, SC, TN, TX, and VA. Scioto Co OH, 4/20/20. Onion family, Alliaceae.
