Aloe, agave, or Manfreda, whatever it's called, who knew one lives this far north? Lots of people, but not me. What a delight, even if it's dispensed with color. It seems to be among the insect pollinated bunch, but how does this work? At night it releases a delightful spicy aroma, attracting moths or anything else with a long tongue and a sense of smell. False aloe grows in openings, often in sand, in AL, AR, FL, GA, IL, IN, KY, LA, MD, MO, MS, NC, OH(T), OK, SC, TN, TX, VA, and WV. Adams Co OH, 7/8/20. Agave family, Agavaceae.
