largeflower evening-primrose, Oenothera grandiflora

Going down a Florida road, early in the morning, what do we need? A gas station. There we are. Of course, it's also a chance to look around and see what might bloom there. This time it was largeflower evening-primrose. It looked a lot like common evening-primrose, but shoot it anyway because you never know. And it did turn out to be a new-to-me bloom. One site calls this Florida tree-primrose, but it's not really that big, nor is it woody. Largeflower grows in open areas in AL, FL, KY, MS, NC, NJ, NY, PE, SC, TN, VT, WV, NS, and QC. Taylor Co FL, 10/20/15. Willow-herb family, Onagraceae.
