primrose jasmine, Jasminum mesnyi

Primrose jasmine seems to be a new invention. Used to know it as Japanese jasmine. Now, in the south, its on sale as primrose jasmine. Kind of like kiwi fruit, which before that name was Chinese gooseberry. If you're going to sell it, you need a good name! And maybe jazz it up a little! Most of the plants on sale have double flowers. Primrose jasmine now grows wild in AL, FL, GA, LA, and TX. Alachua Co FL, 3/28/13. Olive family, Oleaceae.
