Lyreleaf rockcress is a member of a large complex of plants kind of clustered around genus Arabis. This group looks to keep botanists busy forever. You never know what they might be called. When I looked this one up, I found that a large clan of them that recently assumed the alias of Boechera were back to being called Arabis on the USDA website. Turritus and some of Planodes were also back in that fold. This Arabidopsis was there too. In this clan the common name of rockcress seems more consistent than the technical aliases. Lyreleaf is a circumpolar species, with us growing in AK, CT, DE, GA, IA, IL, IN, KY, MA(E), MD, MI, MN, MO, NC, NJ, NY, OH(T), OK, PA, TN, VA, VT(T), WI, WV, AB, BC, MB, NT, ON, QC, and SK.
