alpine primrose, Primula angustifolia

This wonderful alpine grows only in the higher mountains. It looks like it would be a compelling sight in a rock garden. Many have tried, few succeeded. Those that did grew these in containers under glass. Strange to think a plant tough enough to thrive at 12,000 feet would be so persnickety. Mt. Evans National Park, Clear Creek Co CO, 6/18/13. Primrose family, Primulaceae.
