Common or grassleaf stitchwort is our imported species of stitchwort. All the stitchwort, starwort, or chickweed flowers in Stellaria look remarkably alike. They always have five petals that are so deeply divided they look like ten. There are also ten stamens. Oh, really? Well, stuff happens. The plants are small, mostly growing in grassy or weedy open areas.
