yellow giant-hyssop, Agastache nepetoides
Yellow giant-hyssop is indeed yellow, but this white form is more common in my area. These are plants of open woods and edges, standing head high, but with tiny flowers. The Iroquois used a wash from this for poison ivy. Yellow giant-hyssop grows in AL, AR, CT, DE, GA, IA, IL, IN, KS, KY, MA, MD, MI, MN, MO, NC, NE, NH, NJ, NY, OH, OK, PA, RI, SC, SD, TN, VA, VT, WI, WV, ON, and QC. Lenawee CO MI, 8/23/14. Mint family, Menthaceae.
