Slenderleaf scurfpea, or simply scurfy-pea, is mostly a plant of our Great Plains. Native people used it to treat headaches and tuberculosis. The Navajo used to for sheep with coughs. Scurfpea was also smoked in ceremonies. It grows in AZ, CO, IA, IL, IN, KS, KY, MN, MO, MS, MT, ND, NE, NM, OK, SD, TX, UT, WI, and WY. Sedgwick Co CO, 6/25/13. Bean family, Fabaceae.
