common chickweed, Stellaria media

Spring is here, can chickweed be far behind? Or far away? Chickweed is a leading candidate for the world's most ubiquitous plant. From Eurasia it has spread everywhere, even to some Antarctic islands. Chickweed is a winter annual, and with that head start it is a very early bloomer. Pink family, Caryophyllaceae.
