nipplebract arrowhead, Sagittaria papillosa

Nipplebract arrowhead is separated from other arrowhead species by the bumps on the bracts at the bases of the flower stalks, and by the smaller bumps on the sepals. Nice feature, since the arrowheads all kind of look alike. This one grows in AL, LA, OK, and TX. Big Thicket National Park, Hardin Co TX, 4/16/22. Water-plantain family, Alismataceae.
