The woodland lettuce image reminds me about the question of size.  These flowers are about 3/8 inch across.  In virtually all the images, size reference is lacking.  I would much appreciate some feedback.  Should I start including a note about size with each image?

Woodland lettuce is in fact a lettuce, and is theoretically edible.  But like other wild lettuce, it is very bitter.  The name, Lactuca floridana, reminds me that the first time I saw this plant was in Florida, back in BD time.
