Just down the country road from the palafox, I saw a white head sticking up from the ditch.  As I walked toward her (I'm guessing because of size), she flew up to a utility pole.  Not wanting to have the pole in the image, I waited.  Forty minutes later she took off.  After about ten minutes, I had started jumping up and down, yelling, and waving my arms.  She couldn't have cared less.  After the pictures, I turned around to return to the car.  Behind me on a dead tree was another one that had been watching me.  It would have been a great shot, but that one flew right away.
