Yesterday's toothwort was the first member of the mustard family presented here. It probably deserved better treatment. It's one of the larger families, and important in agriculture. Somehow, I don't find it very interesting. Maybe because so many of our species are weedy aliens. In Michigan, we have 98 species, but only 32 natives. Toothworts are native. Here's a look at the plant beginning to go to seed. I wanted to show the plant yesterday, but discovered I had to go take the picture first.
