First, let me say that pale bergamot is a moment of rebellion.  References call this white bergamot.  You can clearly see that it is not white.  So for me, its pale.  My plans for flowers range between creating an image that captures the artistic spirit of a flower, and illustrating the plant's keys for identification.  Of course, there is much overlap and flexibility.  In this case, there was complete overlap.  Since I knew the keys to identification I knew to take a picture of the leaf, showing the longer hairs on the  petiole.  Showing the hairless flower tips was going to happen regardless.  As to capturing the artistry of the flower, we each decide for ourselves.  Images never appeal to everyone.  If they look good to the photographer, that's success.
