Pearlbush may have been my reward for doing a good thing.  I was on my way home from leading a walk.  I noticed what I thought would be mockorange along the road.  I thought I might get some good pictures.  Instead, I found a plant that completely befuddled me.  It looked like nothing I had seen before.  Thanks to the magic of the internet, it didn't take long after I got home to figure it out.  The ring of white between the petals and the opposite leaf arrangement a very unusual for the rose family.  So the next time you see something interesting along the way, stop and collect the rose!
