I went to take pictures of skyblue aster the other day. I thought I might improve the image. It's hard to capture the blue of asters and some other flowers. My new shots weren't any better. The blue in the image on the wildflower page got some help from the computer. This image is of a white flowered individual I found there. It has all the identification keys one expects for sykblue. But when I blew this image up on the screen, I noticed it has longer bracts below the flowers than its blue neighbors. It may be a hybrid. There were a lot of Symphyotrichum pilosum growing there too.
