What's ordinary to a Floridian can be a joy to snow-avoidant northern wildflower enthusiasts.  Even jointweeds are a delight to see when all around us in Michigan is packing it in for winter.  I have to appreciate these because in their manner, they are preparing the way for so many other wildflower delights.  Of course, these days they too are threatened by us.  Largeleaf jointweed is seriously restricted these days by building, pine plantations, and the citrus industry
