I previously mentioned how convenient a telephoto lens can be for wetland flowers when you don't want to get too wet. They're at least as handy in dealing with fences. Particularly for this heavy old guy who's not nearly the climber he once was. Elephantsfoot was shot through one of the gaps in a fence I might never have climbed. And it occurs to me that I've never been caught trespassing when I climbed a fence. Partly due to luck, and partly to telephoto?
