You can see here that I had another flower to focus on.  And there must have been some way to get closer.  At least I know where to find them the next time.  The yellow flowers are pretty draba, Draba streptocarpa.

Some people claim this as the state flower of Colorado.  The act designating a state flower refers to the violet color.  The usual suspect, Aquilegia caerulea, is clear blue.  But the act also mentions "Caerulea", so to me there is little question.
