I just received a book about dried wildflower pods and seeds. Very much appreciated, Anne. And very timely. I've always languished through winters, wishing for the flowers to return. But Anne's right! There are all kinds of opportunities out there. Not that I've never tried. But for me, a snowy field hasn't had nearly the attraction of a bog or swamp. I'll just have to get my big boy boots on and get out there! The past effort here was probably a purplestem aster. That's another aspect of winter stems. There are a lot less clues in the puzzles.
