Black-eyed Sue has seduced us into a variety of reproductive strategies.  We mow our roadsides to create habitat.  We fly and cruise off with her to exotic locations.  And we create fields where she can show off to maximum effect.  This image is from a likely Conservation Reserve Program planting.  That USDA program helps wild plants, including Sue, take over our disused farm fields, and also restores wildlife habitat more generally.
