The volume of information available on the Native American Ethnobotany database is amazing. Dusty maiden is a good example. It has been used by the Gosiute, Great Basin, Okanagon, Okanagon-Coville, Paiute, Sanpoil, Shoshone, and Thompson tribes. Uses included analgesic, cardiac, orthopedic, stimulant, pediatric, dermatological, snake bite, tuberculosis, cold, cough, cathartic, emetic, gastrointestinal, kidney and tonic applications. Is it a miracle drug? Or just an imagined remedy for needy prople in a less scientific time. An earlier version of Trumpacilin.
