Here you can see the shy foliage.  Called that because it folds up when disturbed.  That often happens because this is an important tropical forage plant.  They are also quite attractive with red edging.  But to appreciate either leaves or flowers you have to get close.  Otherwise shyleaf jusy kind of looks like a sprawling mess.  The seed pods earn it its other common name, American joint-vetch.  They remind one of our tick-trefoil, and move around in much the same way, stuck in fur, or by being ingested.
