We skipped over Ohio today because their trillium was posted earlier.  It's not a flower to be skipped, so here's another look.  These trilliums are bright white when they open.  As time passes, they turn pink, and ultimately a rusty red as they wither.  Occasionally, as shown here, one is pink right from the start.

There's curiosity about how we got to the Northern Mariana Islands yesterday.  That commonwealth, which includes Guam, is part of us.  The list I'm working from for state flowers includes the territories.  When I saw frangipani listed, I just couldn't pass over it.
