Here's blue curls again, more typical of the genus that includes today's false pennyroyal.  This one is Trichostema dichotomum.  These flowers are close to a half inch.

Today on Portraits of Wildflowers (https://portraitsofwildflowers.wordpress.com/) Steve Schwartzman mentioned the USPS(United States Photographic Service), and the motto about not being stayed from their rounds.  Good one, Steve!  He reminded me of a previous visit to the false pennyroyal site.  This is the only place in Michigan I've ever encountered chiggerrrrs.  I hadn't realized the crotch of those old jeans was worn through.  I really hate those bugs!
