It has been suggested that I consider images of lower order plants like liverworts.  Are those lower orders worth our time?  Definitely!  Have they gotten it from me?  Sadly, no.  So there just aren't very many images here of liverworts and their ilk.  That's too bad, because they can be mysteriously beautiful.  Here's a liverwort forest.  These palm like trees turn up in areas of open, often depleted soil.  They are all of an inch or less tall.  Liverworts cycle from spore to protonema to antheridia and archegonal heads like these.  The technicality is daunting.  So, add that all up, and there are not many images of these neglected plants.
